Pusoy and Pusoy Dos — the card games that define Pinoy gaming culture — are now live on PH WWW with real-money tables, daily tournaments, and instant GCash payouts. Handa ka na ba?
Mention Pusoy at any Filipino gathering and the table fills up fast. Whether it's the traditional Pusoy (also known as Chinese Poker) where you arrange 13 cards into three hands, or the more fast-paced Pusoy Dos (Big Two) where the goal is simply to be the first to shed all your cards — both versions are deeply embedded in the Filipino card-playing tradition. At PH WWW, we honour that tradition by bringing both variants online in the most authentic way possible.
Unlike a lot of foreign gaming platforms that bolt on token "Asian" games without really understanding them, PH WWW was designed with Filipino players in mind from day one. Our Pusoy tables follow the rules exactly as most Pinoys know them — down to how special hands like Full House and Royal Flush are ranked, and how naturals (a.k.a. special combinations that auto-win) work in Pusoy Dos. If you learned the game in your lola's house, the game here will feel familiar.
On PH WWW, you're always playing against real Filipino opponents. No bots, no AI placeholders — just actual kabayans from NCR, Visayas, Mindanao, and even Pinoys abroad. The combination of genuine competition and real PHP prizes makes every session feel like it actually matters.
Two great games, two different skill sets. PH WWW offers both, so you can pick your favourite or master both.
In classic Pusoy, each player receives 13 cards from a standard 52-card deck. Your job is to arrange those 13 cards into three separate hands: a 3-card front hand, a 5-card middle hand, and a 5-card back hand. The catch is that the back hand must be the strongest, the middle hand second strongest, and the front hand the weakest. If you set your hands out of order (called a "foul"), you automatically lose all three comparisons.
Once all players have set their cards, hands are revealed and compared player-by-player. Each head-to-head comparison earns you a point, and special bonuses apply for premium hands like straight flushes and quads. The player who wins the most comparisons wins the round pot.
Pusoy Dos is a shedding-type card game where the first player to get rid of all their cards wins. Each player gets 13 cards and plays proceed clockwise. On your turn you can play a single card, a pair, a triple, or a five-card combination — but it must beat what was previously played. The player holding the 3 of clubs starts the game.
Pusoy Dos is faster, louder, and arguably more thrilling than classic Pusoy because the action never stops. Special "naturals" — like holding all four 2s — can sweep the table and win the round outright. On PH WWW, the Filipino rules for Pusoy Dos are applied in full, so there's no awkward adjustment from the version you play offline.
Whether you're playing Pusoy or Pusoy Dos, knowing which five-card combination beats which is the foundation of your entire game. Here's the full ranking used on PH WWW, following standard Filipino Pusoy rules.
| # | Hand Name | Description | Rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Royal Flush | A-K-Q-J-10 of the same suit | Highest |
| 2 | Straight Flush | Five sequential cards, same suit | Very High |
| 3 | Four of a Kind | Four cards of the same rank | Very High |
| 4 | Full House | Three of a kind + one pair | High |
| 5 | Flush | Any five cards of the same suit | High |
| 6 | Straight | Five sequential cards, mixed suits | Medium |
| 7 | Three of a Kind | Three cards of the same rank | Medium |
| 8 | Two Pair | Two separate pairs | Low |
| 9 | One Pair | Any two cards of the same rank | Low |
| 10 | High Card | No combination – highest card wins | Lowest |
Note: In Pusoy, suit ranking also matters when breaking ties among same-rank combinations. Spades outrank Hearts, which outrank Clubs, which outrank Diamonds — following Filipino convention.
These special starting hand combinations win the round automatically in Pusoy Dos — no play required. If you're dealt one of these, declare it immediately at PH WWW and collect your winnings.
When two combinations of the same rank tie, suit breaks the tie. On PH WWW we follow Filipino convention: Spades ♠ > Hearts ♥ > Clubs ♣ > Diamonds ♦. The 2 of Spades is the single highest card in Pusoy Dos.
New to Pusoy Dos? Here's the full flow of a round so you know exactly what to expect when you sit down at a PH WWW table for the first time.
All 52 cards are distributed evenly among four players — 13 cards each. On PH WWW this is done automatically and instantly by the certified RNG system the moment you join a table.
Whoever holds the 3 of Clubs (3♣) must open the game with it, either as a single card or as part of a combination that includes the 3♣. This is the standard opening rule in Filipino Pusoy Dos.
Going clockwise, each player must either beat the last played combination (using the same type of combination) or pass. You cannot change from a single-card play to a pair mid-round — the format is locked in from the opening play of that trick.
If all other players pass and you played last, you win that trick and get to open the next one with any valid combination you choose. This is your chance to shape the game and force opponents onto combinations that don't suit their hand.
The first player who discards all 13 cards wins the round and collects the pot. On PH WWW, card and cash payouts are credited to your wallet instantly. Remaining players are ranked by how many cards they have left — which affects scoring in multi-round formats.
Classic Pusoy (Chinese Poker) requires a different approach — arrangement skill over real-time play. Here's how to set up your 13-card hand properly.
First thing you do is organize your hand by suit and rank so you can clearly see what combinations are available to you. On PH WWW, the interface lets you drag and drop cards between your three hands easily on both desktop and mobile.
The 5-card back hand is your biggest scoring opportunity. Build the best possible five-card hand here — aim for a Flush minimum. If you have a Straight Flush, protect it and put it at the back.
The middle hand must be weaker than the back. Use your next best five-card combination here. A common approach is back = Flush, middle = Straight or Three of a Kind, front = Pair.
The front hand only has three cards, so only singles, pairs, and three-of-a-kinds are valid here — no five-card combinations. Keep this the weakest of your three hands or you'll be fouled.
Once you lock in your arrangement within the time limit, all players reveal simultaneously. PH WWW automatically compares your hands head-to-head and calculates your winnings. Points and bonuses are credited instantly.
Pusoy rewards patience and planning. Getting lucky with good cards helps, but knowing how to maximize any hand — good or bad — is what separates consistent winners from everyone else. Here are practical tips that experienced players on PH WWW actually use.
In classic Pusoy, it's tempting to dump all your best cards into the back hand to make a Royal Flush. But if that leaves your middle and front hands extremely weak, you'll likely lose more points on those two comparisons than you gain from the bonus on the back. Balance matters.
The 2s (especially 2 of Spades) are the most powerful cards in Pusoy Dos. Don't waste them early just to win a minor trick. Save them to counter opponents who are running low on cards — a single 2 of Spades can stop a near-win in its tracks.
When you win a trick in Pusoy Dos, you control what format opens next. If an opponent seems weak in pairs, open with a pair. If they've been passing on straights, lead with a straight. Making opponents play on your terms is the game within the game.
A foul (misset hand) in classic Pusoy means you lose all three comparisons automatically, regardless of card strength. It's one of the most costly mistakes you can make. When you're unsure, go for a safe arrangement that wins at least two comparisons instead of risking a foul chasing a bigger hand bonus.
Pay attention to what combinations opponents are playing and what they're passing on. If a player passes consistently on five-card combos, they likely don't have any strong ones. If they're passing on pairs, their remaining cards might all be singles — meaning they're close to winning. Adjust your plays accordingly.
There are other platforms that list Pusoy in their game library — but few of them actually get it right for Filipino players. PH WWW is different, and here's why that actually matters to you.
PH WWW uses the Filipino-standard rules for both Pusoy and Pusoy Dos — correct suit rankings, naturals, scoring multipliers, and timing rules. No confusing "international" variants that feel foreign to local players.
